Release notes for PatientStudio Calendar Version 3

The PatientStudio Appointment Calendar is entering its third evolution, driven by valuable customer feedback. This update is part of a phased rollout, with ongoing enhancements and new features planned.

Updates

1. Persistent Filters on the Left-Hand Side

  • Filters have been relocated to the left and remain active even after leaving and returning to the page.

2. User Groups for Filtering

  • Users can create groups of providers (e.g., PT, OT) and filter based on those groups.

  • Learn more about User Groups here.

3. Expandable Filters for Smaller Screens

  • Filters can be hidden to maximize screen space.

4. Enhanced Calendar Settings

  • Users can customize views (e.g., only seeing three days at a time for high-volume practices).

  • Options to show/hide canceled appointments, weekends, and adjust time increments (e.g., 15-minute blocks for 45-minute sessions).

5. Improved Visual Cues for Availability

  • Cross-hatching indicates unavailable time slots.

  • More vibrant colors for better distinction between appointments.

  • Patient names are now clearly displayed within the appointment block.

6. Internal Appointment Notes Displayed

  • Block time appointments now show notes for better clarity on their purpose.

7. Real-Time Visualization Enhancements

  • Added indicators to highlight the current time of day.

8. Appointment Counts for Providers & Locations

  • The left-hand side now displays appointment counts per provider and appointment type.

9. New Color Palette

    • We recommend utilizing the preset colors for the best aesthetics. πŸ™‚

10. Split Appointment Visibility

By default all appointments will display their true duration (start and end times).

By clicking the visibility (eye) icon....

Split appointments will display "hands on" time as busy and "open" time as available.

Split Appointments can be configured from the appointment type page.
