New Discharge Flow

Changes to discharge and quick discharge

Updated over 2 months ago

To help automate some tedious tasks, we will now cancel all future appointments for cases that are being discharged.

If you want to keep these appointments for another case, you will need to edit the appointments and switch the case before discharge.

You will no longer need to check the "apply signature" box for discharge.

Planned Discharged

In a planned discharge, the patient has an appointment and is seen. Providers should select a discharge note type.

When clicking on submit discharge button you will now get a new warning modal:

We will now cancel all future appointments for this specific case from the date of service of the discharge with a cancellation reason of "Case Discharge".

Quick (unplanned) Discharge

When a case needs to be discharge and an appointment is not an option, a provider can use the quick discharge option.

When clicking on the quick discharge button you will now get a new warning modal:

We will now cancel all appointments for this case since the last note was written with a cancellation reason of Case Discharged.
