1. Filters

You can adjust what data is shown on the dashboard by applying filters:

1.1 Date Range

Choose appointments within a specific range. Four preset options are available:

  • Yesterday: Appointments from the previous day.

  • Today: Appointments scheduled for today.

  • Tomorrow: Appointments scheduled for the next day.

  • Next 5 Days: Appointments from the five days following tomorrow.

✅ Tip: For custom date ranges, use the detailed reports section, those reports include all the same information as this dashboard with full date flexibility.

1.2 Location

Filter appointments by clinic location.

2. Appointment Metrics

You can click on any number below to filter the appointment list by that specific metric.

2.1 Total Appointments

The total number of scheduled appointments.

2.2 Special Instructions

Appointments contain a comment about the appointment.

3. Follow-Up Metrics

Tip: The goal is to reach 0 (or “No Data”) for these metrics, meaning everything has been resolved.

3.1 Copay Not Set

Insurance-based appointments where no copay has been entered. Be sure to set the correct copay, even if it is $0. You can set this inside the patient's chart in their primary insurance.

3.2 Unverified Insurance

Insurance-based appointments where the patient’s insurance has not been verified (or not marked as verified in Patient Studio). No matter your method of checking the benefits of the patient, you should be marking them verified in Patient Studio to help keep track.

3.3 Unsubmitted Paperwork

Appointments with associated paperwork that has not yet been submitted. Appointment / Form reminders are automatically sent out 24 hours prior but if you feel you need to send an additional reminder you can do so from the calendar.

3.4 Missing Copays

Appointments requiring a copay where payment has not been collected. This is calculated based on the Copay amount in the patient's chart. You can use the copay amount for co-insurnace amount as well. If the coinsurance moves to $0, you should update this.

3.5 Missing Self-Pay Payments

Self-pay visits where payment has not been collected.

4. Collections

Shows how much copay has been collected in the selected date range versus how much was expected to collect.

4.2 Self-Pay Payment Collected
